A Long Overdue Update: Exploring New Tales

Hey everyone,

First off, I want to sincerely apologize for the lack of updates lately. Life has been a whirlwind, and I’ve been working tirelessly on something I’m really excited to share with you.

These past years, while crafting Wrath of the Wraith King and expanding the Runes of Arcana universe, I found myself consumed by its intricate lore and vast storytelling. At times, it was all I could think about. I realized I needed to step away for a bit—not out of frustration, but to regain clarity and creativity. Breathing room can be the best fuel for inspiration.

During that break, I revisited an idea that’s lingered in my mind since I was in college—a dark, twisted story that combines my love for slashers and psychological thrillers. The haunting thought: What if a serial killer hunted victims in a carnival or theme park? That question grew into something much larger, evolving into a full-blown novel.

That’s how Carnival Kills was born.

Set in the late 1980s, this story forced me to ground my writing in a more realistic and human world—a stark contrast to Arcana's magical realms. There are no dragons, no war-scarred heroes wielding enchanted blades—just a group of college friends facing a horrifying night against a relentless, sack-headed killer armed with a chain and hook.

Now that I’ve recharged, I’m thrilled to say I’m back to writing Runes of Arcana: Book II (still working on the title). The break allowed me to return with fresh energy and renewed passion for the world of Arcana.

As for Carnival Kills, I’m aiming for a February–March release, and I can’t wait for you to experience this new world of terror. In the meantime, here’s a concept art piece of the killer to set the mood.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. Stay tuned for more updates!

With gratitude always,

Caesar Daniels
